Hello! This is my first post. I tried doing a search for this topic, which yielded few results that were applicable.
Me: 30 year old female, I lift heavy weights 4 times a week, I do a lot of LISS, and I eat fairly paleo 5 x a week, with a refeed and then cheat day 1 x week each. The refeed and cheat day DOES contain non=paleo friendly foods. The only other processed food I eat is a small amount of lactose-free milk in my coffee and splenda. Everything else is pretty much veggies, protein, fish oils, flax oils…..
I had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol tested in January. They were all in the "low" range.
On day 4 of my cycle, my FSH was 5.3 and my LH was 3.4, while my estradiol was <100 and my progesterone was <2.
On day 22, my progesterone remained at <2, but my estradiol jumped to 1060.
I remind you that I am very active and eat very healthy! So I can't understand where this is coming from. I can say I have DEFINITELY gained fat around my hips, lately, which is not where I normally store fat (I am much more an "apple" type fat storer). Two months ago, I was a lot leaner than this. I also really want to have a kid in a year, and I'm thinking this does not look good.
Has anybody been through this? Anybody have any advice??

I'll preface by saying I'm not a doctor. However, based on my knowledge of hormones having been through various tests myself and am now trying to conceive with PCOS, this sounds like you're not ovulating. If you were, your progesterone levels would be much higher. Low progesterone is generally a given you're not ovulating (if you are ovulating naturally, your progesterone level should be greater than 10). Your estrogen levels are huge, which may explain the lack of ovulation…if estrogen does not drop, it prevents ovulation from happening. How long are your cycles? Do you bleed rather heavy when you have a period?
